I reached out to Lori on LinkedIn after browsing Schellman's openings from their website. She was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the process. At other companies the hiring process can drag on for weeks, but she was very responsive and worked with my schedule to set up interviews.
I had an initial call with another Sr. Associate so that he could ask me some general questions and I could ask him about the company culture. That was followed by an interview with a manager from my specific department, which was more technical in nature. He asked about my prior experience and asked some specific questions about how I would test certain controls. After that was an interview with a principal, which was basically him telling me about the company and asking about my experience. He allowed me to ask him anything about the company. Finally, I was able to have a lunch meeting with a principal in my city. It was very informal and I was able to learn more about the company and the team members in my area.

The manager asked questions relating to NIST 800-53.. some questions were easier than others. He asked specifically how I would test certain controls (access controls, encryption, auditing, etc.)
I applied online and was contacted by the recruiter Jake. The phone call went smooth and was discussing details about the position. I was informed about the details on the following steps and was told I would be contacted. I was never contacted after following up. I wish things were upfront and transparent.

The interview process was quick and entirely via Zoom. There were 3 rounds:
1. Call with the recruiter
2. Call with senior manager
3. Call with the principal
After the final call, the turn around time to receive the offer was quick and straight forward.

Entrevista
The most streamlined and effective interview process I have ever experienced. The entire team from the recruiter to the senior managers were effective. The timeline for the hiring process was efficient and I was never left wondering what the next move would be. Clear communication and transparency throughout the entire process by all parties involved.
