An interview consisted of multiple stages. First, there was a coffee stage, where we got to know each others' backgrounds, interests, historical and most-recently acquired skills. The second stage was a combination of an on-site interview and a challenge. The on-site interview consisted of figuring out a number of JS/CSS problems in real-time. In addition, I needed to figure out what was wrong with a certain code implementation, and what steps need to be taken in order to correct for it.
