You walk into the restaurant you meet with the manager. you are asked to fill out an application where you state all formal job experience and how you heard about the job. The manager showed me around the restaurant and introduced me to the staff in the kitchen and on the floor. Then, I was told I would get a call in a few days. When I received the call I was given the job opportunity. It was all very easy and casual.
