Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en PDC Energy (Denver, CO) en nov 2017

      Entrevista

After a telephone interview with their recruiter, I was offered to be flown to Denver for an interview. The interview itself was broken up into two groups of four people. I've had some pretty intense interviews, but this was pretty stress free. The mood was light and the conversation was a good mix of pleasantries as well as work experience and company background. Days after the interview I was told by the recruiter that due to "discrepancies" between my resume and what was communicated in the interview, they would only be able to offer a contract role. After notifying the recruiter that I would be open to a contract position, I had to wait a week to find out that a contract position was no longer available. In retrospect, the interview itself was an overall positive experience, but the way things were handled left a poor impression of the company with me. Clearly, there was a question in the interview that had caught me off guard and it somehow invalidates over a decade of industry experience. There was no offer of a phone call to explain said "discrepancies" and they weren't interested in checking my references to clear the issue. I'm fine with not getting the job, but this just felt like a colossal waste of a day sitting in airports for a company not serious about hiring in the first place.
