The interview process was extensive, consisting of an initial screening call, a technical assessment, a competency interview, a technical deep dive, and a final stage with four separate one hour interviews focused on different company values.
While I appreciated the structured approach, the process felt overly drawn out, with around a week between each stage. Communication throughout was inconsistent I had to follow up multiple times just to get updates, which made the experience frustrating. Despite reaching the final stage, I was informed via email that the hiring was paused due to internal reprioritization. While I understand things can change, it would’ve been more respectful to deliver that news via a quick call, especially after investing so much time.
Additionally, there was a disconnect between the role discussed at the beginning (Software Engineer) and what it turned into later (Senior Software Engineer Consultant), which wasn’t clearly communicated upfront.
For the level of effort required and the salary range offered, the process simply didn’t feel justified.
