Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Orion Innovation (New Brunswick, NJ) en ago 2018

      Entrevista

Had 2-3 rounds of interviews with some very haughty, arrogant managers who were not able to articulate what they were looking for or seeking. The initial HR screen happened 2 weeks after submission and was a farce. No feedback whatsoever; complete blackout; total lack of communication. After a few (three) weeks of weekly follow-ups, they gets back to say someone (a hiring manager) will call "sometime in the next couple of days" for an interview. No call happens in the next couple of days. Follow-up again, this time thru the head-hunter and then one night I get a call out of the blue at around "mid-night!" I realize the person is the recruiting manager who is calling from India and had "decided" to interview me at that hour! I make due excuses to this gentleman and we fix a call for the next AM. Have a great interview the next AM and am provided positive feedback right there and then. He promises to have someone get back to me which of course does not happen. Another couple of weeks of weekly follow-ups and then they deem it fit to ask for "another round of interview." Another week of dead silence. One fine evening, late, a mail comes in scheduling an interview the next day with some other manager in the US. This next guy probably owns the company or at least behaves like he does - extremely arrogant, haughty and terribly obnoxious from the word 'go'. I answer all the asinine and inane questions that he throws at me but he cannot articulate what exactly they are looking for in this "engagement manager/program manager/delivery manager/project manager/project lead/onsite-coordinator/sales-relationship/client manager.." The sole purpose for the interview discussion (and perhaps in life) is to point out what is' wrong with my resume.' He goes to the extent of besmirching and bad-mouthing my previous employers or even belittling my previous jobs/assignments. The role and responsibility in question is left so ambiguous and nebulous that I was left shaking my head wondering what the heck was that position I had originally applied for? The interviewer then launches into a Torquemada-like inquisition by throwing indiscriminate and irrelevant questions that are mostly irreverent perhaps even disrespectful. I politely field these as well. After about 90 mins of this he signs off seemingly pleased with himself, giving me the usual "..the HR will get back to you" bit. Bemused but wary, I wait for the HR to get back to me and as usual they don't - so I reach out yet again after another week or so. Finally, the HR gets back after multiple follow-throughs - only to indicate that they have decided to go with another imported candidate whose candidature better meets their requirement - whatever that is supposed to mean... but we could do it if I was to lower my salary expectations...? Overall, the company and it's recruiting process came across as cheap, dirty, unprofessional, and almost unethical - that I find myself in this rare position to feel strangely glad and relieved that I did not get this job! Serious Job Seekers, Stay Away! Buyer Beware!
