I was contacted by a recruiter over call. From the very beginning the hiring team was not sure in which role they would consider me Manager/Principal engineer and kept on scheduling random interviews. The people who were taking interviews were unprofessional and had no idea what was last round of interview about. One interviewer asked me directly please tell me top 3 questions asked in last round so that I don't have to ask them. Every round they asked me are you applying for manager or architect. Is this real? They should focus on the objective of the round instead of asking me these stupid questions. An organization like this doesn't even know how to take interview. After 3 rounds of interview they asked me to come down to Bangalore from my hometown in 1 day notice for further rounds. It costed me 22K for this trip and they told they would reimburse this but they are not giving back the flight fare. At Bangalore office I was interviewed by a senior manager who was extremely rude and was making personal remarks in interview. Then it was followed by a director. From then the recruiter completely ghosted me and did not provide any update and not refunding my flight fare. I would advice not to travel to Bangalore for interview from hometown if you have other offer. They are very unprofessional and eventually would ghost you and you would loose your travel cost.

4 rounds- 3 technical and 1 managerial. Rounds were pretty comfortable. I was asked based on my experience and design choices. There was a system design question and a coding question as well. A little bit of low level design question were also involved.
I was interviewed by 2 Enterprise Architects but the job was not something I got from HR. I was not prepared at all, but due to my 20 years practical experience, there is no problem for me.

This was a very funny interview. The interview questions were very simple but still the interviewer was looking for answers in certain fashion. And after getting to know about the break from work I took and the "deligency" in taking that break, he took it a little personal I think. Anyways it was going to be a practice interview so I am not bothered but it could have been interesting but it was not. I had some trouble sharing my ide's screen but that got sorted out. Man what a dissapointing interview. I won't even call it a practice interview anymore.
Tip: Don't share personal stuff with anyone.
