I interviewed with OneDigital for a Senior Financial Benefits Consultant role. The interview invites clearly stated the role I was applying for (Copied directly from the email -- "OneDigital: Second Round Interview - Senior Financial Benefits Consultant"). The questions all related to my experience as it related to this role. I had a peer interview with three members of the team currently working as Financial Benefits Consultants (Junior & Senior, to my knowledge) for OneDigital to gauge how my experience aligns with the position. They provided a verbal job offer at a rate of pay that was below-market for that position. That's fine, I was still excited to work for this company. I was provided a link to a job posting and told I needed to apply to it as a formality. It was a different job - Financial Analyst. I was told this was the job I was being considered for the whole time. Except the interview invites clearly stated the role I was interviewing for, the interview questions clearly aligned with the Sr. Financial Benefits Consultant position, and I met with team members working in that specific role. So, they either spent a month or so dragging me through the process and giving me the impression it was for a more desirable position by mistake or they they dishonestly led me to believe I was being considered for one position and then tried to slip me into another one hoping I wouldn't notice, ignoring that "strong attention to detail" is literally the first thing listed under Qualifications, Skills and Requirements on the job posting. Edited to add that I would have accepted the offer had they not been dishonest and told me that I was being offered a different position.
