The recruiter/interviewer gave me a call to set up a time for an interview. The day before the interview, another recruiter sent me a message to confirm our time, we were all set and I received the calendar invitation with the video link. The interview day came, I hopped into the Teams Meeting room on time and waited for the host to start the meeting. After 5 minutes no one joined and I thought maybe I was having technical issues or the wrong link, so I emailed the first recruiter. Another 10 minutes passed and still no one joined so I called her direct line and left a voicemail. After sitting another 10 minutes, I finally messaged the second recruiter who confirmed the time with me the day before and told me the first recruiter was held up in another meeting and apologized and asked when I was available to reschedule. Respect goes both ways, at that point I had waited 25 minutes out of the total 30 minute scheduled interview. There was no email or notice that she'd be late and later that day all I received was the updated calendar invite without any explanation or apology from the recruiter/interviewer herself. The lack of professionalism and accountability was enough for me to pass on this opportunity, so I declined the next interview.
