As you probably know they have hundreds of thousands of applicants so I called the store and asked to speak to HR to possibly get an interview while I was in town. They gladly pulled my application and set an appointment.

They mostly test your fashion knowledge; favorite designers, magazines you subscribe to, sales experience etc. Nordstrom is very diverse an open-minded so interviews don't feel like you are being interrogated, more like a great conversation.

So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
Was inside Barton creek mall, hiring manager was prompt and clear with questions ranging from how I would handle difficult customers, to my personal experiences that could apply to the job.
