The phone interview that I had with Modern HR was pleasant. The woman that I spoke to was very nice & gracious. The problem was, when I asked if I could work remotely (I've been doing it all of my career and before it was cool) it was a hard NO. When I asked why, she didn't have intelligible answer. Just giggled and said that's just the way the owners of the company run things. That tells me that the exec team doesn't trust their staff. And that's a hard NO for me. I politely ended the conversation. We're just not on the same page.
