Applied for Maurices online and got a call three days later for an interview. The online application was a lot longer than most and included some personality/behavioral questions. Went to my first interview and the questions were pretty difficult. They put you on the spot with questions such as "describe a time when you had a goal and worked towards achieving it" and other questions like that. Having had no previous work experience it was really hard to answer the questions, but I used my school experience to answer them. Not thinking the interview went that well, I was invited to another 1 on 1 interview with a different store employee. The interview was very similar and she asked me some of the same questions. They said they are required to do two interviews and all of their questions are read from a company provided list. I then had to provide three references which they do check and call on. I used coaches and teachers. Once she got a hold of all of my references, I was called in to meet the manager as I hadn't done so yet and after asking a few more questions, I was offered the job. Overall the process may seem overwhelming, but it is worth it in the end. The starting pay is way over minimum wage and for having had no previous experience I felt the wage is very generous. I am excited about the 40 percent discount and it is a very fun place to work.

In the back room, no styling a mannequin as seen sometimes, pretty average but some confusing questions, questions about experience, scheduling, pay, skills, how to resolve conflicts, your relationships with customers or coworkers , accomplishments, etc.
Interview was good. Basic questions. A couple questions about style like what is my favorite fashion trend at the moment. Overall an average interview. Other questions were about customer service.
In person interview ~40 min, was an average interview with normal questions. Got an offer the day of through a phone call later that day. Overall average interview process, start with phone call and ended with offer over the phone.
