I had a very pleasant interview with a MSG. I was told after the interview that there would be a follow up with the hiring manager. But that never happened. After following up several times over the next few weeks with polite follow up emails I never heard back from either her or her assistant. Finally 5 weeks after not hearing back I see a former coworker had accepted the same job on facebook. I was very happy for them but also disappointed that the company I interviewed with could not make the time to just let me know they had moved forward with someone else. Completely unprofessional behavior to not reply to multiple emails at first asking to schedule the follow up and then just asking general is this job still available questions. For a senior role I would expect a recruitment team to act more professional.
