Applied online, was screened by HR and within a two week period had 30 minute to 1 hour meetings with hiring managers and team members. Each contact indicated that I was a strong fit for the role. (Total of 4 lengthy meetings) I sent prompt thank you notes after every single interview. Then the organization went silent. I sent to follow up emails asking for a status update and one of them got a quick response from the HR person telling me he would personally follow up with me. He never followed up. Ghosted! This has happened to me so many times that it is now becoming the norm.
