Phone interview was requested after a few days of applying online. Standard conversation and questions. Not really difficult. We talked about a niche market that was actually an easy target for me. It ended on both of us agreeing to touch base a few days later.
Everything was making sense. Outside sales is good if you're "popular" in your niche community. You definitely would have to start by selling to your friends and their friends. I think I would have been alright because my community is pretty tight-knit.
I am pretty qualified with a degree. I have retail, marketing, and sales background. I was thinking about switching the career, but decided to stick with what I'm doing. As I'm sitting there drafting a message to the recruiter, I get a rejection email from her stating that I'm not qualified enough although this is an entry-level position with training. I read they take anyone since outside sales is not that desirable. Must have been a bad phone interview then. :)

Very simple, first interview is with a recruiter then a sales manager and then a sales director. Smooth process and overall happy with the experience. I am looking forward to the next two interviews and get the job!
