I got an email from them asking for a Video interview for an hour. They had to reschedule because of 11/11 sale.
Finally when the interview happened, interviewer looked in a hurry. He started with asking introduction and experience and then he asked only a question about DWH. I asked him about the job details and it sounded like was matching with my profile as far as i understood. Total duration of the call was 9 minutes only although it was scheduled for an hour.
Later I received an email stating that my profile did not match with the requirement and hence they wouldn't move forward. I sent an email to HR asking few valid questions as below:
1. How did the recruiter decided that my profile and experience are not matching without asking anything and that too within 9 minutes?
2. If my profile was not matching with the requirement, why did I receive the interview call at the very first place?
Obviously, they couldn't justify it and re-iterated that my profile did not match with the requirement.
Seriously, I don't care what went wrong with such an experience but they need to understand how much efforts interviewee puts to apply for the job, to prepare for the interview and how important an opportunity for them. This shouldn't be taken lightly by the company and must pay due diligence to the whole process.
