They hired me over the phone based on a recommendation by a friend who had worked there in the past. It was very relaxed, though I could tell they were definitely feeling me out by asking specific questions about the kind of work I'd be doing. Such questions are pretty straightforward in post interviews. They were curious how I knew the employee who had referred me, what I'd worked on in the past, what I ultimately wanted to do, etc.
