I said I was interested in SAT & ACT preparation because I taught that before in college, and was sent a diagnostic exam, which I had 5 business days to complete. I had to sign an honor code, but could do it independently, and email it back. I sent my CV and letter of interest with the test and was offered an interview two days later. My interview was a standard behavioral interview, and we talked about how I teach, how I interact with students who struggle to learn, and how I provide enrichment (this was really important), how I communicate (this was even more important), and how I remain professional. I was also asked about my ability to work independently in several different question forms, which I noted. My references were checked; the company owner, who interviewed me herself and was really friendly, said it would take about 7 days, actually got back to me 5 days later with an offer.
