The interview consisted of four parts:
1. An online assessment where you're given 3 hours to finish a coding project assigned by the company, you're allowed to complete this assessment on your own IDE with your own programming language of choice.
2. If you pass the assessment, you're then called by a recruiter for a behavioral phone call and scheduling for the onsite.
3. The virtual onsite consists of four rounds that'll assess you on System Design, Algorithm/Data Structure Knowledge, Database Design, and then Behavioral Leadership in that order. The duration of the onsite is 3 hours and 45 minutes with a 15 minute break after the second round.
4. After the onsite, your recruiter will call back the next day for feedback on the onsite. Once that is done, they'll do a debrief at the beginning of the following week, and then you'll find out if you get an offer or not.

Went through 8 rounds of interviews. Including one where i had to travel over an hour to an office i wouldn’t even be working out of. The last interview had to be slightly later than they wanted because by boss at the time qouodn’t work with me on coverage.
Overall the interview process was very straight forward and the recruiter was very helpful throughout the process. After completing an online assessment, a recruiter reached out to me to setup an initial phone interview. Then I had 2 one hour interviews: one coding and one systems design with some behavioral questions at the end.

Let me start off by saying that this company claims to value transparency and humility but that is not the case. Finished a 3 hour take-home assessment and then scheduled a phone interview almost a month out because it was their only availability.
From what I read on Glassdoor, I thought it was really just about showing enthusiasm, researching the company, STAR technique to describe projects and you should be golden. The recruiter that I dealt with seemed to really not want to be there during our call. The work day was ending and she was being really passive. She wanted the interview to end early and I felt as though I didn't feel comfortable to ask some of the questions I prepared because I felt like she wanted to get this over with. I asked her what are some of the opportunities for growth in the company when it comes to learning new things and being exposed to different technologies and she called that question vague, completely shutting me down. I said I had no more questions even though I did.
She then said I would get a decision if I would go through either way by the end of the week. I had to wait over 3 weeks to see whether or not I made it to the final interview after emailing her twice for an update. Got a bunch of vague replies. Anyways this company's culture is built on complete bs and I am glad I won't get to work with hypocrites. Thankfully, I have a final round interview with 2 other companies so not worried about HubSpot anymore and will never worry about it again.
