Handwritten application. I turned it in and received an interview about a month later. The manager was very "blah" about it and generic. Said she was hiring 2 or 3 and was interviewing 7. I am in my forties with 20 years of accounting and 1 year retail experience. I was asked basic questions and dismissed. After 4 phone calls and two weeks, I find out I didn't get the job. I thought companies usually gave the courtesy of a phone call or email to let you know but I didn't receive that courtesy. They said the pay started at $9.50/hr which is pretty good for retail so I guess they can be picky. However, I have seen some of the people they have hired and I don't understand how someone fresh out of high school with no work experience is more qualified that someone with 20 years of experience and is available to work basically any hours.

It was honestly pretty easy. You don’t have to do too much, and the questions aren’t difficult. Everything felt straightforward and simple, so there’s really nothing to worry about going into it.
It was easy and the interviewer was kind. they helped through answering questions as it was my first experience. they got back to me right away and to start me working right away

The interview was simple and I felt relaxed and at ease. It didn't take long and was easy. It was easy basic question like strength, weakness, and tell me about yourself.
