      Entrevista

      Applied in early July. First Interview was in late July. Second Interview was in late August. Third Interview was in early September, followed by a personality and skill assessment. Over 3 weeks after the final interview, I was told the position was on hold, and closed and may re-open with some changes in the future. That's the timeline I experienced, which was pretty significant lasting well over 2 months. I enjoyed each interview, everyone I spoke to was friendly, and knowledgeable. My only issue was the process. It felt like every interaction just confirmed that I was well suited for the position, and they wanted to speed things along as well as they could. Though always letting me know they didn't know the timetable. Well for my own well-being I got off the roller coaster. After finally getting told the position was closed, and only being offered that it may re-open in the future and they would reach out if so - I personally felt used. Like the time and energy, I put into each interview and the numerous follow-ups I sent just to understand what the next step was, was all for naught. If I was in this role, having to interview candidates, I couldn't in good conscience keep someone hanging on through multiple conversations. It isn't fair to them. I hope Highmark refines their hiring process and procedures. I know in the markets this role covers there is still significant turnover, and a hiring process like this does nothing to inspire confidence. Again, I do not fault anyone I spoke with. I believe they all were following direction. But whomever was directing them or the process they were following was antiquated, unhelpful, and uninspiring.
