Phone interview with a manager and one of the peers the candidate would work with. The manager was very professional and asked the standard questions about my background, experience etc. He explain what the job was all about and it went well.
Then the interview with the peer was the exact opposite! She had a real bad attitude. She cut down everything I said. For example, I said I had 10+ years experience with XXX software and she said "Well NOT in our industry" I replied I've worked 15 years in manufacturing and she replied "That's NOT the same as mining". I countered with how I am a fast learner and I know XXX software and YY Database, and ZZ programming again negative "We need someone who know OUR company now!" She newer asked about my background beyond last employer nor did she ask any probing questions to determine my knowledge of job duties or the software. If my experience wasn't relevant why did they call me?
I'm glad I wasn't offered the job because I would not have taken it.
