Initial phone screen, phone or virtual interview with hiring manager, and panel interview on-site. My interview experience raised concerns about the company’s interview process. During the phone interview, the conversation was almost entirely interviewer-led, and I was not given an opportunity to ask questions about the role, team, expectations, or company culture. For candidates, having time to ask questions is an important part of evaluating whether a role is a good fit. The interview also felt difficult to follow at times due to frequent interruptions, background noise, and other distractions during the call. The conversation was less structured than I expected. Overall, I left the interview with concerns about communication, preparedness, and the candidate experience. I hope the company considers building more time for candidate questions into its interview process and ensuring interviews are conducted in a focused, professional setting.
