I had an interviewer who was cold and unfriendly which is different to other people’s experiences on here however I remained calm and positive. I spent days preparing for all questions that were posted by others on here and felt quite confident. Unfortunately after having a great start to interview the interviewer did catch me out by asking very technical audit questions around cash audit methods at the end which started to feel a bit interrogative. Anyway I couldn’t exactly answer them as I was applying for a graduate trainee role not associate role. Didn’t get to ask any questions at the end which made me realise the decision was already made to not pass the interview. P.S I received an offer from a firm who use hirevue for interviews and scenario based style questions . Interviewer bias is a real problem with telephone interviews. This was my first negative grad assessment experience. Glad I won’t be joining Mazars with its outdated practices
