Led down a rabbit hole for 2 months by HR who consistently provide positive feedback. Was asked to spend time to complete both a personality test and a case study. Every step of the way HR cheered me. A panel interview with the president and several other team members who barely spoke - the presdient asked me for the reason for the interview ? Asked "tell me why we are here today" also told team members "why am I the only one speaking" - asked very text book questions. Did not hone in on questions related to my extensive experience. HR and President were not on same page as for next steps. Several more weeks went by. HR wants another meeting which then indicates an offer....no go. HR says oh we decided not to go into that particular industry further (???????) - hours and hours of my time. Consulting work for free - lesson learned.
