In my 8 year experience, by far the most unprofessional process I have come across - one that made me lose interest in working at this institution. At the start of the selection process the talent acquisition specialist (TA) sent me an email asking me to complete an SHL online assessment. Her email said the test to complete was an untimed test, no need to hurry and that it would take around 45 min. Once I logged into the SHL portal I saw that the test available to me does not match her description: it is in fact a timed test of 36 min and would log you out once the time is up. So I wrote back to inquire about this discrepancy. The response was "don't worry about the time, I wrote you what I saw in my dashboard, but eventually it is not accurate..." Didn't make much sense. My other clarification email about the upcoming case study was left unanswered. As the deadline of the test approached, I logged in and was once again presented with a different test - this time 18 min timed assessment. I simply went ahead and completed it. Following, I had a case study to complete and present the findings to two senior employees during an interview. The same TA has managed to misspell my name in the invitation which is never a good sign. The interview started with the senior associates saying they have not received my online assessment and asked whether I have completed it. I offered to send the confirmation email of the test completion. The interview was pleasant and professional otherwise. Afterwards, I received another test invitation from the TA with the words "I hope this time it works". No account for the inconvenience. That was when I knew, it must be chaos to work at this institution. I never bothered to complete the second test. If this was not enough I received an email again from the same TA a week later saying: "I received several requests for individual feedback. According to our Service Regulation ... the selection is secret and we are not in the position to give personalised feedback." This is all great but I didn't ask for it, so I didn't understand the reason for receiving it.
