It didn't feel right from the beginning. Although I could see a team of young educated people, I was seated in a room where US & UK flags are being used as tablecloths(one US flag was below a printer).
I thought that I applied for an advisory/consultancy type of job, but I was fooled, because it was a sales position. Now I found out about this job from LinkedIn, where the title said "Study Abroad Consultant", so I wouldn't say my expectation was wrong.
We sat down with the manager and she was really trying to make me uncomfortable, asking difficult questions unrelated to the job. I felt tension the whole time due to the difference in expectations. I tried my best to present myself, but when I discovered that this position was really pure sales with low salary, I just couldn't take it seriously anymore. It's a shame because I really liked the company.
