Amongst other general interview questions, I was tested on what do acronyms stand for. I have been in the industry 7+ years. I was asked what does JSON stand for and got the first two letters (what is this school)? I couldnt complete the last two. The next question was what does API stand for, which I gave the answer. I was asked did I google it? This was disgusting behavior from an interviewer to question my integrity. I have interviewed for years and been interviewed never felt like I was in school with quizzes that bare no relevance to the role. Ask me what a JSON or API is and I will tell you exactly what it is. Sorry I couldn't remember the acronym for one! Even if I had googled it or had a sticky note on my PC is this not allowed, I wasn't informed I was in a closed book test. A waste of my time! This knocked me so much that I terminated the interview and glad to say I am not a part of this company and shambles accusatory management team.
