The start of the interview process went great! Though it was originally supposed to be a 3 part process (recruiter > potential manager > multiple people interview, 30 minutes each), but then it turned into 4 parts since my potential manager wanted me to meet with another person on the team. Didn't have much of a problem with that (but felt indecisive from their side). After 2 weeks of interviewing, I made it to final interview which went amazingly well. I even I met with my recruiter at the end of the final panel interview, who said that things were looking good with me getting on the team and that she would get back to me ASAP with the final decision the following week if I got the job. Then things go bad: recruiter laid off, new person emailing me saying she will be taking over my process and said she would get back to me with a decision and feedback the following Monday. Next Monday happens, and nothing. Tuesday morning, i receive an auto-generated email saying crunchyroll was not moving forward with my application. I feel very much disappointed and time-wasted over the 3 weeks that i spent interviewing for this role (that I was assured I would definitely get) with a generated rejection and no human feedback like I was told. If I had known about this treatment, I would've withdrawn and spent my time applying elsewhere.
