It was not a very formalized process. I submitted my application online and was contacted by four different CVS locations in my area. I had a 5 to 10 minute interview with either the front-store manager or pharmacist, depending on who was available, and I was asked the same generic questions you expect at an interview (e.g. "Tell me about a time when you handled a stressful situation.") Afterwards, I was contacted by the front-store manager at the store where I was hired, and then I submitted all my necessary documents (I-9, W-4, etc.) over the internet, attended training (i.e. PowerPoint presentations), and was scheduled to work the next day after training. Overall, from the time I was interviewed to the time I came in for my first day of work, it took about 3 weeks.
