To start off, I have worked for other state departments during my undergrad and they were always very nice! However, I had an interview with the Sacramento legal department and I found them to be incredibly rude and stone faced during the interview. I took the interview abroad and I politely followed up after the interview. Obviously I took a job elsewhere because I didn’t hear back for four weeks. I wanted to take a state position with them, but I will never apply there again and encourage others not to waste their time. Very rude panel I had the interview with for the position.

Two females which one of was the hiring manager. Very dull place. People seemed bored out of there minds. Waiting to retire and collect that pension. My interview was simple questions about budgets. Overall I would say they ghost you and wont tell you that you weren't selected. Typical government bs. Save yourself the trip and ask for a virtual interview. These momos don't care that u show up or not. I regret showing up. Position was in person 5 days and they wanted me to write checks on type writer. WTF
