Our app offers a free 7-day trial that can be canceled at any time, so completing the onboarding as part of the interview process does not require any payment. When this candidate reached out about a subscription charge (because she forgot to cancel the free trial), our team responded the same day with refund instructions, and the candidate confirmed that the refund was processed successfully.
Case studies are a standard part of PM hiring across the industry, and we do not use candidate work in any capacity. We provided feedback during the case discussion, and our team sent a personalized follow-up after the decision was made. The candidate did not respond to the email to ask for further feedback.
