      Entrevista

I applied initially for the Validation Engineer position and after 3 weeks I received an email from the HR "proposing" me another position as Subject Matter Expert Process Maintenance. I was excited and based on my skills I knew that I can fit to this specific roll too. However, I did not apply for this position in the first place due to lack of German language. Therefore, the interview process followed by two phone calls, the first one with the hiring manager and the second one with the HR. In both interviews we discussed what I do to my current job role, what I have done in the past and my education. The hiring manager ask me few technical questions on my current role which is the same. Few days later another HR from different country guided me through the interview process and how I am going to meet them on site. Also, send me the agenda, which included 6 different people from different departments and was from 9:15 to 14:30. At the beginning I had a hesitation about the length of the interview and the environment too. However, the environment was very friendly, professional and the conversation ran smoothly with all the interviewers. It's worth to say that the interview was not a group one but personal individually which made me to feel more comfortable. Unfortunately I had to go through several times through the basic from my CV but I did not take it negatively. Everyone looked satisfied, happy with my answers and in the same time they show me that they want someone who want to expand his career through the company. This is exactly what I wanted, to start from this position and in 3-5 years period expand my career and gain a lot of knowledge from them. Great friendly, multicultural, happy, promising for development environment and they show me that they want to provide help on every aspect. Finally, I saw that I can be valuable and good asset (investment) to the company because they could use me in the future to other departments too. At the end of the interview I sent an email to thank everyone and how much I want the position, appreciating their ethos, the town, location etc. and work for their company, especially from the foundation of it. Now, what do you think? Did I have good chances to get the job? I was waiting for 10 days for an answer, but due to my bad experience from the Swiss hiring processes (waiting feedback for a month) I decided to sent an email and ask for a feedback. Received a phone call from the HR who was very happy telling me that the interview went great, BUT I WAS OVERQUALIFIED AND IF I GET THE JOB I WILL GETTING BORED EASILY!!! (Unfortunately there is no contract to sign for this) :( Please do not take it negatively, I would apply again on this company, on this location because I still believe that is great to work with them. I am disappointed because I was more than happy to do this job and in the same time having the opportunity to learn the language, learn processes, meet new people and work for a company like Biogen. Why to get rejected as overqualified (if it is a genuine reason) for a job that I am willing to do and I like?
