I applied online and received an invitation to interview by email 4+ weeks later. The interview process was overall very easy. It consisted of meeting 3 different groups/people for the interview. My first set of interview were with two directors/the hiring managers. They had a list of questions prepared that really asked about my experiences, lab work, school work, and just basic personality fit questions. Very eager to know more about my skill sets, as well as myself as an individual. The second part of the interview was with the team itself. I was given a brief tour of my work space and then met with my team. They did not have questions prepared, but asked more about my skill sets, long-term goals, and personality questions. I think they were more interested in making sure they found a good fit to the team because they all seemed very close and comfortable with each other. The last part of my interview was with the HR recruiter. This part was making sure that I had all of the necessary background checks and paperwork filled out, as well as any last logistical questions. Overall, I really enjoyed the interview. I walked in with a lot of questions and walked out very comfortable and hopeful to getting the job! I was told that I would hear back in 2+ weeks, but received an offer a week later.

Interview felt a bit stiff with the managers mainly reading prepared questions from a packet. Other than that, it was pretty pleasant and the lab tour was helpful. It would have been a bit less awkward if there were fewer prescribed questions.
