Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en Best Buy en abr 2013

      Entrevista

I applied for Best Buy as a Sales Support Associate on a Sunday and got a call back from the hiring manager the following Tuesday. From there, he confirmed where I worked at the time and then asked about my availability and when I'd be able to come in for my first interview. We both decided on the approaching Thursday. On Thursday, I went in for my first interview which was very enjoyable. The hiring manager was very personable and the interview seemed more like a normal conversation than just forward questions. At the end of the interview, he asked if I would like to also be considered for their open Asset Protection job since, at my current job at the time, I was a cashier at another "big box" store. He said that since I mentioned maintaining the stores assets by checking for theft on a daily basis that I might be fit for that position as well. I didn't object and said that I would love to be considered. From there, the manager told me that I would receive a call back on Sunday if I was to be called in for the second and final 1:1 interview. He explained that he was also the acting GM for the time being, so he would also conduct my second interview if I was called. Sunday rolled around and I got a congratulatory call back to schedule my second interview which was to be on Monday. That interview went just as well as the first one, with just a few more probing questions which certainly focused on more of my retail mentality and skill level rather than just why I wanted to work at Best Buy. The manager mentioned at the end of the interview that he had filled the Asset Protection spot, but that he needed to find someone to fill in for two days a week as a Back Office Lead, which essentially deals with the stores cash in their "cash office." His justification for it was that not only was I used to dealing with large amounts of cash at my job, but that I was also accustomed to counting it on occasion with a store manager. He also wanted to make sure that he could put something else under my belt to help me get hours scheduled since I made a point of mentioning it a few times. Who doesn't want appropriate hours after all? I accepted his offer for the BOL position, in addition to the Sales Support and from there he gladly offered me the position, commending me for my retail skills and knowledge gathered from past jobs! The whole experience was very enjoyable and the associates that worked there were very kind when I asked where I needed to go for my interviews. I even got asked for help multiple times on the way to the back of the store, which I liked because it showed how engaging and helpful everyone was. 10/10!

      Pregunta 1

How would you attract and retain customers at Best Buy? What would you tell them that would assert that Best Buy is the #1 electronic retailer? (along those lines)
