Had a phone screen first. The guy on the phone was very friendly and asked a lot of questions about my current experience and why I wanted to work for AVADO. I was successful with the phone call and had a face-to-face interview the next day.
Was interviewed by two women. They were very nice. Laughed a lot. One of the ladies mentioned she loved being on the UCL campus, even though AVADO is on the Imperial campus. Bit odd.
Started off with introductions, except I didn’t get to introduce myself before they moved on. Never asked me any technical questions at all. Asked me a Buzzfeed-esque question at the end.
More like a conversation than an interview, but the guy on the phone said that’s how it would be.
My biggest gripe was the fact that I was applying for a copy editing role, and there were a few spelling/grammar mistakes in the job position pdf I was sent.
