      Entrevista

Title: Disappointing Interview Experience at Atlassian Introduction: I recently had the opportunity to interview with Atlassian, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. This was my second time interviewing with the company, as I had been selected last year. However, this time around, I was rejected. What disappointed me the most was not the rejection itself, but rather the unprofessional behavior of the interviewer, who made me question my worth and purpose in the interview process. I feel compelled to share my experience, as it appears that this issue extends beyond just myself, affecting three of my colleagues as well. I hope that my feedback reaches the Atlassian recruitment team and prompts a review of their interview process, including the implementation of interview recording to monitor their team's conduct. Body: 1. Insulting and Humiliating Behavior: During the interview, the interviewer consistently employed derogatory language and insulting remarks, which were both unnecessary and unprofessional. Statements such as "How did you even make it to the second round? You should have been rejected in the first round" were particularly disheartening. It seemed evident that the interviewer had little regard for the candidates and their well-being. Such behavior not only damages the candidate experience but also raises questions about the company's commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace culture. 2. Lack of Consideration in the Interview Process: The fact that the interviewer provided feedback on questions that were never even asked is deeply concerning. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and a failure to conduct the interview properly. It is essential for interviewers to be well-prepared and attentive to the candidates' responses and questions. By providing feedback on non-existent questions, the integrity and reliability of the interview process are compromised, causing significant frustration and confusion for candidates. 3. Shared Experience: It is important to note that my disappointing interview experience was not an isolated incident. Three of my colleagues faced similar issues during their interviews with Atlassian. This suggests a systemic problem within the recruitment team or the interviewing process. When multiple candidates encounter the same negative treatment, it raises doubts about the fairness and objectivity of the selection process. It is disheartening to see talented individuals being subjected to humiliation and rejection, especially when they possess the skills and qualifications required for the role. 4. Advocating for Improved Processes: In light of these experiences, I strongly urge the Atlassian recruitment team to evaluate their interview procedures and make necessary improvements. Implementing interview recording can serve as an effective tool to monitor the conduct of interviewers and ensure that candidates are treated with respect and professionalism throughout the process. By taking proactive steps to address these concerns, Atlassian can demonstrate its commitment to providing a positive candidate experience and upholding the values it espouses as an organization. Conclusion: While I accept the outcome of my rejection, it is crucial for companies like Atlassian to recognize the impact their interview process has on candidates. The unprofessional behavior displayed by the interviewer, coupled with the lack of attention to detail, reflects poorly on the company's reputation and values. I hope that my feedback, along with the shared experiences of my colleagues, will prompt a thorough review of the interview process at Atlassian. It is my sincere wish that future candidates do not have to endure such demeaning treatment and are given a fair and respectful opportunity to showcase their skills and potential.

The interview was smooth organised by an HR, the first 3 rounds were very fast within a week. But after the third they just went silent. No feedback or response. Felt a bit weird

Recruiter>tech interview one>values interview>tech interview two>manager interview>. All one hour. Very large waste of time, and they’re likely interview farming for training data. I will not personally ever apply here again. Merge your interviews you don’t need to burn 4 days for people applying.

It was probably the most lengthiest interview process I had ever gone. I had not 1 but 2 'final' interviews; At the first final interview the big boss all of a sudden asked if I was interested in another, more senior role, I said I didn't mind and then instead of a final decision they arranged another technical interview with the stake holders of the team that the big boss had propsed that I'd be a better fit What I liked is that the first interviewer not only stayed late to accomodate my questions, but he also took me around the office, showing me all those multiple floors, cool meeting rooms, overall busy working atmosphere; 29th floor on 363 George street was a jaw dropping experience, all those views, vast open and smartly arranged spaces. It was rather long ago but I still remember that feeling that effectively made me fall in love with that place
