      Entrevista

      After I applied on the Dow website for an IT apprenticeship, I was sent an email from Apprenti to take an online skills test. An average score of 80% was required for an interview. I was attracted to Apprenti because they claim to be such an inclusive company, but I found the opposite to be true. I was sent an email invitation for an interview which had the option of a phone or video interview. Due to this, I expected a phone interview so I didn't need to request a disability accommodation of a phone interview. However, when I called the phone number the passcode from the email didn't work. Then, I logged onto my email to try the video interview which I was forced to do when I asked if I could do a phone interview instead. If they were really an inclusive company, they would have allowed me to do a phone interview to accommodate my disability. Again, I only applied for the apprenticeship because they claimed to be an inclusive company. I found it odd that there a 2nd person in the video who didn't say a word and only stared at your video or wouldn't give you a stare break like you get when an interviewer looks down at notes from time to time. The interviewer had one of those fake smiles when you could feel negative instead of positive energy from her. It wasn't a good experience. I also thought Dow hired several people for an apprenticeship, but they only hire one. So, it's not as a good opportunity as I thought it was. Dow should conduct their own interviews if they want to show that they are an inclusive company.
