Me postulé en persona. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en American Express (New York, NY) en ene 2024

      Entrevista

As a seasoned professional the interview process did not meet any basic expectations. I was told to arrive 25 minutes prior to the interview time, which I did. Upon arrival to AMEX HQ NYC, no one met me, nor did they greet me. I was processed and cleared through security, ultimately making it to the 37th floor unaccompanied. I was let onto the floor by an employee who was walking through the doors – no conversation nor did she care who I was. I wondered aimlessly around the floor looking for the conference room noted in the email I received from the recruiter. I discovered this was not a conference room, it was the executive’s office. Being I still had 10 minutes to wait I didn’t want to stand awkwardly outside the door, so I walked back to the “lobby” of the floor. Where I ran into the assistant of the executive I was interviewing with, and she sat me in a common area with a few employees. The employees openly discussed projects and had a meeting in front of me, not caring I was sitting there. The executive was 10 minutes late to the interview, and when I was finally seen, she had the interview scheduled for an hour and the email I had from the recruiter had it scheduled for 30 minutes. To be honest, my final interview was hands down one of the worst interviews I have ever had. I could not wait for the conversation to end. One word of advice, an interview is a two-way street, the interviewer should at least attempt to sell you on the company and why it’s a great place to work. There was definitely confusion between my first and second interviews on what the role actually was, and the skills needed for success. After talking to the three interviewers, it was clear there was no clear direction on what they needed from a candidate. Sadly, this experience has turned me off to AMEX as a potential employer.

      Pregunta 1

I was situational scenario based questions, the executive was fishing for something, however I am not sure it was.
