I was contacted by a recruiter from Altastaff regarding a position they were staffing for. I was sent out to the company for an interview and a few days later actually offered a position by the hiring manager thru my recruiter at Altastaff. After waiting for almost 6 weeks for a start date at this new position, my recruiter began getting annoyed with me calling to check on my status of the position and stopped returning my calls. Finally I was contacted directly by the "hiring company advising me they selected another candidate - after waiting 6 weeks!!!! Because Altastaff reassured me the position was mine, I actually resigned from my prior job and then was left unemployed because of Altastaff! Once I received the communication advising that I was no longer a candidate, my Altastaff recruiter had a non compassionate, matter of fact attitude with me. I was told they would call the hiring company to see what happened and would get back to me. I never heard from the recruiter again. I called Altastaff a week later and spoke with Taz, the owner of Altastaff,and she reassured me she would at least find out why this happened and would get back to me the very next day for sure. I never heard back from her either. This is a terrible place to do business with and if you choose to use them as a recruiter, do not quit your job before you know for sure your job is secured with them. Also plan on them being terrible with follow up. I would never recommend them to anyone!
