The interview process felt inconsistent and confusing. Although the job posting clearly stated the role was based in Kuala Lumpur, I was contacted for what they described as a quick phone interview by a recruiter who introduced themselves as being from the Philippines, calling from a number with a Singapore prefix. After confirming a mutually agreed time, the call simply informed me that the role had already been filled a few hours earlier. No actual interview questions were asked, and the communication felt unstructured, leaving the impression that the posting might not have reflected an active hiring need.

I had two interview rounds: one technical and one with HR. The HR round went well, with standard questions about my background, experience, and expectations. The technical interview was moderate in difficulty. The interviewer asked about my experience with relevant technologies, problem-solving skills, and a few scenario-based questions. While some questions were straightforward, others required deeper thinking. Overall, I feel that I performed decently in both rounds.
