    Ventajas

    In general Morgan Stanley as a company is very professional. The summer internship and full-time analyst programs are very structured and organized which helps ease new joiners into the company. Additionally, it offers a lot of networking opportunities and exposure to senior leadership in the firm. Nice offices and good finance learning opportunities.

    Consistently long hours with very little focus on work-life balance. In my experience, my department experienced extremely high turnover due to burn out, lack of training, and poor management. Rather than addressing the underlying issues, management would expect remaining employees to deal with an overwhelming volume of work resulting in significant overtime every week. There was a lack of support across the board. Managers did not care about personal development/growth or acknowledging any positives/successes, but were very quick to finger point and throw you under the bus. Moreover, working in a back office role, our front office counterparts were often extremely rude, unreasonable, entitled, and unprofessional (essentially treating you as lesser than) which added a ton of stress and frustration to the day to day. Compensation was not on par for the amount of work expected.
