I had a screening call or something of that level. The recruiter initially called me while I was at work and arranged a call for the next day after work. I obliged even though it felt a bit rushed.
The recruiter emphasised the company's appreciation of 'people' and their time and its effort to view people as more than workers. It was one of those 'informal' chats. Nonetheless, I explained what my desire moving forward is regarding my career, the recruiter explained the role would allow me to get an education from all corners of the company. I appreciated that as it connected to one of my desires for learning and growing. The call did feel a bit hollow, as I wasn't asked any specifics and one of the questions I asked about team dynamics and expectations wasn't given a sufficient answer, but a vague response.
I got a rejection email a couple of evenings later. I emailed shortly after, asking if they'd be able to offer up some feedback. I got nothing in response.
