I applied online through the Uber website. Within the week I was sent an email with an assignment of sorts on how I would answer customer complaints, troubleshoot issues, and problem solving. After I sent that back I got an email asking me to choose a date and time that I could come in for an in-person interview. Interview was roughly 20 minutes long and it was very casual, more of a conversation than an interview. Wanted to know a little more about my past experiences in customer services and then he asked general questions that arise when working with Uber's customer service. I was offered the position on the spot but decided to turn it down. It was probably one of the best interviews I've ever had though. Office is open concept, people were very friendly, I wish it would've been a better fit for me.

They asked basic customer service questions, like, "how would you respond to a rider who was requesting a refund because the drive took the most roundabout way to their destination?" or "How would you handle a situation where the rider and the drive are giving completely different stories?"

Entrevista
I had a screening interview with a recruiter and another interview with the team leaders. I don't recall if I also took a test. During the interview with the team leaders, even though I answered their questions confidently, I sensed they wouldn’t hire me. During the screening interview, I mentioned that I have a child, and the recruiter asked who would take care of my child while I work. For an American tech company in the sharing economy business, I found this question extremely outrageous and misogynistic. They said I would receive the results within a week, but after a week had passed, I had to reach out to the recruiters myself to get an answer. In the end, I felt relieved that they didn’t offer me the job.

Entrevista
Very quick process, takes too long to let someone know if they’ll be hired or not. Also they had some technical difficulties while having my interviews, both the recruiter and the TLs/Managers. They connected late compared to the actual schedule.

About half an hour of discussion and questions, friendly and warm attitude, they answered all my questions as well and were very open and eager. Overall positive and pleasant experience.
