Simple, I had to submit a cover letter and CV. I was then invited to an assessment centre. There, I had to do a 5 minute presentation about a project I have worked on and then was interviewed by two members.

Entrevista
Had to give a presentation on previous engineering project (20 min).
Had a 40 minute interview.
Was quizzed about different refinery components and tools.
Was given a tour of the refinery plant.
Overall experience was good. The people I met were very nice and answered all of my questions. Entire day lasted from 8am to 12pm. Travel and hotel stay paid by Total.

Why Total? Career aspirations? Numerous technical questions concerning the refinery.. for example describe fully how industrial heat exchangers work/what can go wrong/how it can be fixed?
