Quite an intensive process that includes the initial application, phone interview, writing tests and final interview with a panel and a numerical and written test as well. The interviewers were very friendly and helpful.

Initial communication: A networking event of senior editors and past trainees. Application online in December, including two writing samples (one had to be a 'vox pop' interview article). Followed by an online writing test (editing 1 news article, writing an article from given information, and creating headlines and leads based on given word limits and info) in March. This was followed by a panel interview. In the interview, they asked questions like: - Why should we hire you? - If you could interview anyone in Asia, who would it be? - What do you understand by budget deficits, and name 2 countries with budget deficits. - What questions would you ask the provisional leaders if the North Korean govt was overthrown? - Name 5 countries that will impact the world's economy
