I applied for this position online. Approximately a month later, I received a voicemail from the company; I called back and scheduled an interview for early the following week. I was instructed to come in early and was told that I would have directions emailed to me -- the email was never sent. I arrived early for my interview, and had to fill out an application on site. This application included questions regarding things like my health and professional training in chiropractics, which seemed irrelevant to a marketing assistant position. In terms of the interview itself, it was very informal. I asked about the day to day responsibilities of the position and was provided with an evasive answer. I then asked what qualities their ideal candidate would possess, as they seemed quite keen on finding the "right fit," and kept repeating this phrase. Rather than answering my question, my interviewer showed me a resignation letter from a former employee -- who had also held this Marketing Assistant position previously. At my second interview, I was provided with information regarding pay and benefits, and was asked to create a flyer on their computer using provided information, as a "skills assessment." However, I was interrupted before finishing this task, and essentially rushed out of the building with an assurance that they would call me early next week. Come the next week, I received an email stating that the position had been offered to a different candidate, who had accepted. Much like the other interview review currently available on Glassdoor, I also feel that this interview process was not handled in a professional fashion.
