If you know anyone who works for the company, have them hit up the HR rep for the store and they can get your application placed to the top of the list. I first received a link to an online test, i was then followed up with a phone interview after i passed the online test. After that I was contacted by the store HR rep who had me interview with the department manager. 2 weeks after the interview i was called back to go over some paperwork and offered the job. Then they send you to a drug test... hired a week after that...

Not having much home improvement experience, why do you feel Home Depot is the best fit for you?
I was hired during covid so it was a little bit different. I was hired through their automated system based on the assessment which was fairly easy. It’s just basic customer service questions and situations that you have to agree or disagree upon.

You put in an application online on their website. After a week or so, you will have a phone interview then sent to the store they need you at to be interviewed. You will be interviewed by the HR representative for the store. Then they will set up a second interview with you. Either the same day or day after. You will be interviewed by the Manager or Assistant store manager. Then it's all on your responses.
