Very clear interview instructions and professional interview process.
I interviewed with one of the senior data scientists in Tesla. We talk for like one hour. During the conversation, I can feel his kindness towards young people. He didn’t just interview me for the position. He taught me one of the most important characteristics that a data science needs: curiosity.
The interview process included an initial application submission, a recruiter screening call, a technical interview focused on coding and problem solving, and a final round discussing experience, teamwork, and fit for the role.
This is strictly online, with no in-person components at all. The questions are fairly simple and straightforward. I previously completed a typing test and several other online "exams" to take as part of the process.
A bit chaotic because the interviewer was constantly switching rooms and ended up doing the interview somewhere on the floor with his laptop on his lap. And also they seem to really want to know how much you are prepared to do "extra".
