The interview process began with a 30 minute phone interview with the hiring manager, and then a 3 hour in-person interview. There was also an opportunity to get drinks with the rest of the team to determine a cultural fit.
The interview process was much better than experiences I've had at other companies. The phone interviewer asked direct technical questions to figure out my level of qualification. I appreciated this as I'm not someone who enjoys the "What would you do in this situation" type questions.
The in-person interview comprised of 3 stages. I was first interviewed by 2 other people on the data team and used most of the tie interpreting different graphs and giving some initial statistical analysis of sample data. It was engaging and gave me a chance to showcase my technical skills.
Then I met with the two other technical employees on the software side, and ended with two more people on the client team. The fact that they had me interview with 6 different people throughout the process (25% of the company at that time) showed that they were really looking for someone that meshed with every team member.
I was also notified within the week about next level interviews which is unheard of. Overall one of the better interview processes.
